MDX designs and manufactures dental compressors and vacuum pumps. Founded in 1989, our parent company MDMED makes core components for dental equipment, including hydraulic motor pumps, solenoid valves, 3-way syringes and suction valves. Today, many of Korea's leading dental chair manufacturers rely on MDMED components.

When a dental chair stops, treatment stops. For more than 30 years, MDMED has held itself to one standard: components that keep running. MDX was built on that same standard. We take responsibility for every step, from precision machining and assembly to inspection on our own measuring equipment and serial-number traceability for every unit.

ANY AIR 2 is the result: an articulated-piston dental compressor developed over about six years. Its piston head, a part that demands high machining precision and years of know-how, is designed and manufactured in-house in Korea. ANY AIR 2 is validated to 5,000 hours of continuous operation, and the head is covered by a 5-year warranty.

Our lineup is built around ANY AIR 2 and includes the dual-head ANY AIR 4, the rocking-piston ONE AIR D2 and the AnyVac40 vacuum pump. From single-chair clinics to dental hospitals and laboratories, there is a configuration to fit your practice. A UL-certified, FDA-registered model is also available for the U.S. market.

The piston is driven by a connecting rod and travels strictly vertically. Lateral wear — the failure mode that kills rocking pistons — is engineered out. Air from the external fan cools the head twice on its way through: once over the casing, once through the cylinder chamber.

Compressed air ends up in the patient's mouth via the handpiece and 3-way syringe. Before it gets there, it passes through an intake filter at the compressor head and a ULPA 16 filter at the dryer.

04 · Two-Stage Drying

Droplets first.
Then vapor.

Compressed air carries water in two forms: liquid droplets and invisible vapor. ANY AIR 2 removes them in two stages. First, the integrated cooler condenses the moisture, a centrifugal separator spins the droplets out, and a sintered element filter catches what is left.

Then an activated-alumina dryer adsorbs the vapor that remains. A purge tank built into the frame keeps the alumina regenerated, and a humidity indicator on top of the dryer shows its condition at a glance.

How many dental chairs can one compressor supply?

ANY AIR 2 (2 HP) supplies 3–4 chairs. ANY AIR 4 (4 HP, dual head) supplies 5–6 chairs.

Is the compressed air oil-free?

Yes. The articulated piston head runs without oil, so no lubricating oil reaches the air line.

How does ANY AIR 2 remove moisture?

In two stages. The cooler, the centrifugal separator and a sintered element filter remove liquid droplets; an activated-alumina dryer then adsorbs the remaining water vapor. A purge tank keeps the alumina regenerated, and a humidity indicator shows its condition.

What filtration does the air pass through?

An intake filter at the compressor head and a ULPA 16 filter at the dryer, which removes 99.9995% of particles at 0.1–0.3 μm.

What does the warranty cover?

The compressor head is covered for 5 years and other components for 1 year, from the date of purchase. Registering your serial number keeps the warranty on record.

What is the difference between an articulated and a rocking piston?

An articulated piston is driven by a connecting rod and travels strictly vertically, so it avoids uneven wear and is designed for a 100% duty cycle — ANY AIR 2 is validated to 5,000 hours of continuous operation. A rocking piston tilts as it moves, which wears its seals and housing unevenly over time.
